Cagrilintide is a long-acting amylin analogue being studied for its role in appetite regulation, satiety, food intake, and metabolic health. Amylin is a naturally occurring hormone involved in signaling fullness after eating and regulating aspects of glucose metabolism.
Unlike GLP-1-based therapies, cagrilintide works through the amylin pathway. Research is exploring how sustained activation of this pathway may influence appetite, eating patterns, and body weight over time. Clinical studies have investigated once-weekly cagrilintide, including as a standalone treatment and alongside other metabolic therapies.
Cagrilintide is still being investigated in clinical development, with Phase 3 studies evaluating its potential role in weight management. Results from REDEFINE 1 showed meaningful reductions in body weight with cagrilintide 2.4mg over 68 weeks, supporting continued investigation of the amylin pathway.
Response can vary from person to person, and the appropriate pathway depends on health history, goals, and other clinical considerations.
This protocol belongs to the Metabolic pathway. Your consultation identifies whether it's the right step for your journey.
